the next day. Get a blood test not a urine test. When you are pregnant it's in your blood right away so there is no lying.

For me, about 2 weeks.
About a week after I had sex and got pregnant, I started to get sick, vomit, and was very very tired. I thought that I just had the flu. But, within the next 2 weeks, I missed my period and thought it might be from being sick, cuz the sickness didn't go away and I just thought I was stressed. So, I took a pregnancy test and found out that I was pregnant.

It takes a woman to find out shes pregnant about a week to 2 weeks.
Usually it takes sperm to travel up to the uterus about 72 hours or 3 days. And the baby's heart starts to beat usually by 18 days.

A women can know that she is pregnant before missing her period. I speak from experience, I am 31 weeks pregnant now. The way I found out I started to feel sick and my period was late for 1 week so I took the Early Response EPT test and it turned out positive.

the rule of thumb is to wait for 14days past your ovulation day before testing. This would be when the HCG levels are high enough in your body to test and be sure to get yourself a positive result if you are in fact pregnant. If you dont know when you ovulated than just wait for your missed period. Which usually, if you have a normal 27day cycle, isn't anymore than 14days away from your ovulation date anyways. However if you are like me, that might leave you waiting just a bit longer. But Rule of Thumb, is 14days past O.
