There are the major comic sites such as Marvel and DC and there are more like Dark Horse and Image and even more Independent sites. You can also find many Groups in the Yahoo Groups section.

Search on "Superman through the ages". It has the all-time greatest stories from the 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, etc. These are truly classic stories that you will not have to pay big bucks to read. They also have a couple complete downloadable Superman novels. Enjoy!
