I'm 34, self employed, and my excuse is, "I'm away from home and staying in a hotel, and have with very little else to do."

Just being nosey really :)

Edit : I'm in UK and posted it on UK site. I'm afraid I'm not in control of where it pops up though.

I'm waiting for my lodger to come in so I can give him his marching orders. He went out this morning and let my dog out again, it took 5 hours to find her. He's spilled something on the new cream bathroom carpet and left a 2 foot round patch of what looks like coffee stain, his car has leaked oil on the drive, but the worst offence is he used the last of MY milk so I couldn't have my life-saving cuppa this morning! I've been fuming all day and right now I'm wide awake and ready to commit murder!

PS Most of the above answers prove the saying that Americans don't know there's life outside their borders. How narrow minded some people are...

I'm at home in UK, 29 now and 30 on Saturday, depression setting in now, employed as a cook and also self employed as a farmer, and really should be in bed as worked til late Sat night and then all day Sun. Have to be up early to get kids up for school and nursery and then go to work myself.
I am obviously not very sensible still being up but hubby is snoring something chronic and I can't sleep through that racket. Another half an hour here and I should be about ready to kip despite the racket!!

To everyone who's saying "It's a different time here, you must be from somewhere else, get out of our area!" Well, I'm looking at this on Yahoo answers UK, where is is now 00:51am, so to me it is in the right place - UK answers.

However, most questions on Yahoo Answers seem to go out to the whole answers site, not just locally, hence this guy is posting from the UK where it is a different time from you. Stop talking to him like he's stupid, it's on a worldwide site and for us it's almost 1am.

So, as someone who is on here late at night, my excuse is that I am 24, my boyfriend (also self-employed) is in Scotland for a week and I'm a student who doesn't have to be at uni until 1pm tomorrow. I also prefer to stay awake during the night and sleep during the day, because I'm light sensitive and daylight hurts my eyes most of the time. It gets lonely when everyone else is asleep and it's nice to come online and chat with other people, or at least know they exist. :)

Well it is 01.52 and I am here on my PC in the UK because it is around this time I communicate with the other side of the world, in Japan they are just starting their new day. It is 18 degrees in Sendai and it looks to be quite a nice morning, same temperature here as well now.
In 12 hours time I will be doing the same again...and 12 hours after that..and..yup.

Well, I'm in UK and it's now 00.56

I'm here because after directing a play for 11 of its 12 week rehearsal period our lead had to withdraw due to illness and I was asked to step in - I've spent so much time trying to learn the lines and I was rehearsing til 10 o'clock tonight - that I decided I needed the rest of tonight off! I'll get back to it in the morning - honest!

What kind of person am I?

Check out my profile.

(I can also be found on recipezaar.)

I know you're talking about local time, and not morning in one spot while it's 12:45 a.m. across the world.

Some people have insomnia and have nothing else to do. Other people have different daily schedules, so this would be normal. And there's what you said.

Yeah you gotta remember that it ain't 12:45 everywhere cuz its only 6:49 here. Like they say, its 4:20 somewhere. But I am just playing around so I can make it to level 100 and win the brand new Porsche 911 Turbo convertible Yahoo answers gives out when you make it there!
