I am assuming you are asking this question seriously, so I will give a serious answer.
It depends. What is he thinking about when he does it? How often does he do it? When? Privately, or in public? Alone, or in the presence of others? In addition to, or instead of conventional sex?
It would also depend on one's concept of "normal", which varies from person to person and culture to culture.
So you need to make your question more specific if you want a more specific answer.

I'd expand this to say it's not only normal and healthy for men, but for women too. There is no physical harm caused (Blindness, hairy palms, etc.) and in fact many eurologists and sexual health practitioners consider it very benificial. To paraphrase my high school sex-ed teacher, there are 2 kinds of men, those who masturbate and those who lie.

Completely normal. It's part of human nature and it's a way of exploring our own bodies. It helps us understand how our bodies function and what we are capable to do with them. If we masturbate we are practicing also on how to last longer and control our ownselves.

I think if youre single its ok, but if you have a gf or a wife, I think its wrong.
