They clinched a playoff berth today for the first time in 19 years.

Yeah, I know it's been a while. Which makes this season all the more enjoyable. The whole "lack of experience" is a poor excuse for you Tiger hatrers...and Leyland wont have any of that.
I'm hoping Minnesota faces The Yankees in the first round. Minnesota (with Santana) should have no problems with The Yankees.
The Tigers will likely face Oakland, and will open at Comerica Park. That will give The Tigers the upper hand.

Do you think The Tigers & The Twins for the ALCS?
Will it go 7 games?

Okay, I admit it. I dont want to face The Yankees.

I am not discounting The Twins. But if they tie Detroit for Central wins, Tigers win Division by virtue of winning season series against The Twins.

I'm trying to be nice here, as I have been rather rude lately.

You got a question somewhere here in between the propaganda.

The season starts over with the Playoffs and the Tigers probably have as good as chance as anyone to get to the big show. I like the Twins too (they may still win the division).

Although most Tiger fans will never admit it, they don't want to see the Yanks in the playoffs. If the Tigers wanna stay on the road to the Series, they will have to beat the best of the best. Better plan on gettin by the Yanks if you want to immortalize the season.

* I'm not a Yanks fan - I am a fan of the game.

Detroit will win the division and faceoff against the A's in the first round.

My Twins will win the Wild Card and face off against the Yanks who they have a great chance of beating in a short series and Johan pitching 2 games.

Ideally the Tigers and Twins will both win their series so that the Twins will have an easier time moving on to the World Series.

Sorry Tigers fans but you'll have to wait another 19 years for another sniff of the playoffs.

:)

Tigers and twins wont be playing in the ACLS, Yankees and A's will be. Dont let this outbreak of runs get your hopes up, its against the royals. When they vs a team with solid pitching and very good defense, tigers will have a hard time manufacturing runs since the only player on their team who is a true bunter is polanco. And i wouldnt be so sure a short series for the yanks against santana would knock them out. He may not pitcher games 1 and 4 but by then it could be 2-1 yankees then maybe 2-2 but other then santana twins dont have a pitcher that can be relied on 100%. And by the way Yankees have beat santana in a short series before, dont be surprised if it happens again.

Hey Tigers say goodbye in the first round. They only played as well as they did over the weekend was because they were playing the Royals. The Twins will win the division and I pick them to go the World Series, especially considering how hot they have been playing since the All Star break.

they gained't make it out of the ALDS. effective the Tigers have Verlander however the Yankees have CC, and the pink Sox have Beckett, and after Verlander the Tigers have not got very lots. BQ: Verlander. The Rangers confirmed final 12 months what they might do with one super pitcher.

I like the tigers to beat the A's and Yankee's over the twins.

Yankee's defeat the tigers in six.

I'm in detroit and it looks like the tiger bats have returned. I would like nothing more then to see the tigers in the series. But from the out house to the pent house in one season? Not likely.
