The Italians call them "papagalli" and they are to be found everywhere in Italy, not just in St Mark's Square. I've never known them "pull" any girl, there or elsewhere, as the normal reaction is to rebuff them.

No but my best travel memories are in Venice. I did get pinched in the derriere, does that count? It was in Belgium! (Maybe he was an Italian)
