Pick a subject you like, or one that you hate. The emotion you feel will help in the descriptive writing process.

This is the simplest form of essay. All you have to do is describe something.
For example:
-------------------------------
A tree is a type of plant that grows very tall and which branches out as it grows upward. The branches have leaves or needles to facilitate the process of photosynthesis which provides nutrients and energy for the plant, while helping to remove carbon dioxide fromt he air.
Some species grow to heights of only six to eight feet, whereas others grow as high as 100 feet.
Most trees have a single, thick trunk which supports the branches and provides its vertical structure. Some, though are much more shrub-like, having many smaller trunks branching up from the ground.
Trees also have a significant root mass which has two main purposes. Firstly, it provides a way to draw water and nutrients from the soil. Second, it holds the tree in place and keeps it from being pushed over by the wind.
------------------------------------
As you can see, the most important thing to consider is to make sure your thoughts are organized. Think it over before you start writing. Break down the topic of your essay into smaller pieces, and devote a paragraph to each.
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
