Hello, i am having a dispute with another fmaily about a bad check that they wrote and causing my account to go overdrafted. If you work for bank, work in a bank etc, please email me, i really need this advice, thank you.

The two are not related, sorry! You must maintain the correct balance in your checking account to cover checks you have written, without relying on checks others have written to you that have not cleared.

However, writing bad checks is a crime and you can report that if the do not make good on them.

Well what exactly is your question? Is t the family bad check causing you to overdraft? Wel I can give general advise. Check your bank's disclosures. 9 times out of 10 even if the check is not your fault, you will still be responsible if the account goes negative or overdrafts. If it does, don't be afraid to ask for a reversal of a fee. If this is your first time, banks are a lot more lenent giving a fee back.
