your question is a good one for a change, but there is no easy answer.

I have yet to see or find a decent all round suite that will do all you ask.

You are better in most respects to use seperate programs to do the different jobs, ie anti virus, adaware, anti spyware.

Lots can be found free that will do pretty much as good a job as stuff you can buy on the high street.

AVG anti virus.
Zone alarm firewall
Lavasoft adaware
spybot search and destroy

all the above work, doing different jobs.

You might also consider changing your browser to something like the Avant browser which is less of a target compared to any microsoft software

Spybot is the excellent and that is rapid and unfastened. Avast! residing house variations is rapid and unfastened additionally - lots quicker than AVG 8, which takes 7 hours to do a rapid test, while Avast takes 3 hours. Firewall? AShampoo firewall is discovered on the AShampoo website and is unfastened. AShampoo website has a entire internet secure practices application kit that's fairly inexpensive in case you want to purchase a mix firewall, spychecker and antivirus programme.

My fav program is Eset Nod32 (however it isn't free) You can download a free 30day trial though at:

www.eset.com

It works very well at updating and scanning files in the background. And it will also prevent viruses from being downloaded off the internet because it has an internet file scanner...

Lets see, you asked for a complete security suite for your computer and everyone is simply telling you the stand-alone anti-virus, a firewall or an anti-spyware that they happen to use.

Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 is an excellent all-in -one suite consisting of a firewall, anti-virus, antispyware and more. It's detection rates for virus are top rated.

One warning though, it is not exactly inexpensive!

Good luck.

I hate people who dont answer your question(fully). An all around good one, best one (through my experience, not one is the best), would be Trend Micro Pc-Cillin Internet Security. Give it a try. I have tried Norton,Mcafee,Kaspersky,AVg Free,Zonealarm, and avast!

Good luck.

use McAfee. I've seen an article comparing Norton and McAfee and the latter comes out the best, including checking for heuristics.
