Very true! I have 14 dogs and 5 cats, and this statement fits my life perfectly. The cats definitely rule the house!

I never thought of myself as my cat's slave, however, I do think they have me "trained". I often see the sarcastic looks they give me as I labor to clean their litter boxes 3 times a day, and keep the kitty buffet going and supplied with fresh gourmet kitty food.On Saturdays, they want their sauteed liver in organic butter. I also buy extra wild salmon for them when we have it because they crave it too. They like it broiled. Then there is the organic cat nip they must have whenever life gets a bit too stressful for them. I go all over town trying to find it. God help me if I come home without it! It is hard to believe they were all starving strays when we took them in. Now they all need a trip to Weight Watchers with their double chins and rolls of fat hanging from their bellies. They have gotten so spoiled they ONLY drink spring water. Um mm, maybe I will have to rethink the slave issue?

Yes this is true, I have 3 cats and 2 queensland heeler dogs. The cats really rule the roost! The cats always wake us up to feed them and the dogs stay asleep till we wake up.

I don't know, but I do kick the husband out of bed in the middle of the night to give the cat more food, while the dog is sleeping in his crate.... So I guess yes it's true..

I've always heard that a dog thinks you're family, and a cat thinks you're the staff. My dog (a Shih-tzu) was friendly at times, but often aloof. Sometimes he'd growl when you tried to pet him. My cat often had an attitude, as well, but he could be playful and affectionate. I think it depends on the individual animal's personality.

Pretty much.. my cats come and drag me off my pc to take them to their food, which is always out for them.. they just like me to know they are in the house. My dog just loves me and patiently waits to be fed. Has become my shadow. He does know when dinner is on the table though.

Very true. I am at the beck and call of my cats and beg them for attention but I boss my dog around cause that is what happens when you are always trying to please someone.
