I worked for the rival (Books-A-Million) for 3 years, but I imagine the answer is much the same....
BAM only closed on a Sunday IF AND ONLY IF that Sunday happened to be Christmas Day. All other holidays were open. Though I have to tell you, we made very little money on Easter Sunday and even less on Thanksgiving Day. But....corporations like to be sure.

Call this number 718-793-1395. It's Barnes& Noble in Queens. But they'll tell you when your local store closes.

Check your local store for opening times, often displayed on the door.
Can also phone for hours.
They usually have limited hours on Sundays.
Could have to do with the higher cost of wages on weekends.
Traditionally Sunday is not a great day for lots of enterprises, books may well be one of them.

Mine closes at 11 on sundays...but that here in Fargo ND

It depends. Ours closes at 11 PM every night--I could get there with time to look for a book still if I wanted. (Ours is huge though, that may make a difference.)

it might be one of though 100 year old law that no one bother to change. Such as, these business will be close for sundays but usually liquor store though. I think they are call 'Blue Law'
