Ok, so here it is....I'm not going to go in depth but i have psychic alilities that in the past i've chosen to ignore...I see flash images in my head of things that are just about to happen..they aren't clear but very choppy, sim to watching a 3 second movie clip in your mind, i also have a strong sense of just 'knowing' , if i've lost something i see where it is etc...Anyway i've just recently been made 'more' aware of this gift, its hard to explain but i've always had this, so to me it didn't appear anything out of the ordinary...You could say that i have finally acknowledged i have something special that must appear 'abnormal' to most, i have always denied i was 'different'.........now that i've decided to accept this, this question IS......WHY 'now' that i'm more aware and the visions are getting stronger, do i feel such an air head...serious answers only..........

Should i continue to develop this or should i just shake my head and change my train of thought as i have done in the past...Isn't it better to be sane and safe, that insane and feeling unsafe?

Being able to open and close your 3rd eye is safe.
You are becoming more aware because you are acknowledging that you have the gift of sight.

Ya know, the world has conditioned many (if not most) of us to fear things that do not seem to be 'normal' (whatever that is). Psychic awareness, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, etc. are ALL 'normal' faculties that more and more of us are becoming aware we possess, or are becoming willing to admit we possess.
-Re: the airhead thing? You're not alone. A close friend and I often laugh at ourselves for this same thing. I believe it's like watching TV. Someone in the room can ask you the same question 3 times, and if you're really into the program, you don't hear that person. Sometimes I am so distracted by the information I am receiving on the psychic channel(s) that I space out to this 3D experience for a few! :-)
- Most of us are not afraid of our ability to hear, nor are we concerned that we may lose our sanity if we smell too many things. Yes, it can be uncomfortable to be 'open' all the time. And it is a good idea to learn how to use your abilities effectively. But, most of all, enjoy being YOU. ALL of you - a capable spirit in a human body who is learning more and more each day how to walk your path.

Don't be afraid, It's more common than you think. We're taught when we are small to close our "third eye".All children can hear and see things we can't . They know lots of things, but since adults don't understand or it freaks them out they tell their young it's impossible or not true or just their imagination, so they forget to use the gift of "information."
It's a medical fact that if a baby is born with cateracts that is not detected before they are 3 months old, they will be blind even if the cateracts are removed, because their brain didn't learn to use their eyes to see.
Thats what happens when we are taught to close our third eye, our brain forgets.
Fortunately some of us are born with the ability to regain that sight for a reason, or we didn't forget to use it.
I was lucky. My mother always said that there is not such a word as can't and that all things are possible, because her Grand father was "Gifted."
She had the info. too and some weid and wonderful, unexplained things happened to her in her life.
I've got it, and so does my adopted daughter.
Surprisingly a few of her friends have some insight too.
More and more of us are coming together, I have the feeling. Most of us wil become teachers for others, is what I see.
You will only receive the information that you are ready for. It's not to scare you, but to prepare you, especially if it concerns a death.
So cultivate the gift. Talk to others about it, you will find a lot of people in the same boat, and learn.
Enjoy and see all the wonders now that your eyes are opening.
The "gift" is given to you with love, from those you've forgotten about in this lifetime.

When you first start to develop your abilities it is a hard, tough, road to travel. However after all the hard work you will be in control of the abilities and you will be able to find a balance again in your life. If you can not handle the changes then don't do it. If you feel you are strong enough to handle such a big shift in consciousness then go for it. The decision is entirely up to you.

I can appreciate your concerns.... I once had an experience that was a little unnerving and wasn't ready for it. So I pushed it away.
Just be aware that you should do whatever helps you to live your life happily. Personally, I know you can't run from who you are. You can choose to push away the extra awareness, but it will always be there to some degree. And until you embrace who you are and what you have to offer the world, you may never feel fully complete.
Read "Don't Kiss Them Goodbye" by Allison Dubois. She discusses how she pushed away her awareness in her life before embracing her gift.
Hope this helps.

I don't think that being psychic can hurt you. If the images are not bad ones and they don't get in the way of your daily life, just let them come. I have some ability like that, but far less than yours. I usually just sometimes know when something is wrong with my one of my family members.
You might one day be able to save a life or find a body for the authorities.
Go with what you are getting as long as it doesn't upset you.
Good luck!
Oh wait.. if you feel unsafe, then don't do it!

Over 20 years ago I was jolted into the mysterious and metaphysical world of the Super-Natural – I became the psychic junkie. I had asked for it. But I didn’t expect my initiation to be so life changing; I slowly followed the path as it was opened up to me, one guided step at a time. I was being lead along the way from some place unseen to my five earthly senses. All I had to go on were subtle whispers from within and the outer synchronicities I was able to read as signposts along the way. The direct results in reality have been amazing.
I’ve been a professional clairvoyant for many years, in all four corners of the world, using my psychic insight to guide others on their own unique journeys.

You obviously have been given this gift for a reason. Not many have psychic awareness. Don't ignore it, you'll be letting it go to waste. Use it for good.

Since it appears that your abilities aren't going to go away, I would think you're better off learning how to better control them - which probably means developing them, or at least working with them.
I don't know how you can do it, but you should try to find a mentor who can assist you.

Yes it is safe, but would advise you learn how to control it. Being open all the time is not very pleasant. And as stated above learn to use it wisely and for the benefit of all.
Be Well, and at peace.
