Times is common, but many fonts are used. What they usually have in common is that they are Serif fonts.

Serif fonts are the ones that have "serifs" (small details extending out of the ends of the lines that make up the characters). In case you aren't familiar with what serif fonts are, here's an article:

Serif fonts are typically used in books because they're easier to read in large bodies of text. Some people use sans serif fonts (fonts without serifs) anyway, just because they like them aesthetically.

Serif fonts such as Palatino, Times, Bookman, etc. for body text. Sans serif are used mainly for headings as they a harder to read in print.

I belive its Times New Roman .. well ive been reading books since then.. But I love book antigua heheh
