I was raised in a pretty strict Baptist home. I never told my dad. But when I was going thru a tough time with a g/f I called my mom and told her. She lives 1000 miles away so I couldnt just hop in the car and tell her face to face.

Anyway, I figured she had some clue, you know, 40 years old, never married, had "roommates"--- but alas, she didnt. She sorta flipped out. She was saying stuff like she didnt need to hear that type of thing and then of course she blamed herself and how she raised me. But I think the line I told her that calmed her down was that I was still the same daughter she has always loved, I just have different likes. We talked that night for a couple hours and when I hung up I felt like crap. She called me the next morning and was much better. In fact she asked me a lot of questions. Now I call her whenever I need advice on situations. Shes still not 100% ok with things. I know she is torn between loving me and what she believes in the bible. But I told her I was born this way, nothing environmental "caused" me to become gay. After 2 years she is still processing things and doing ok.

my father passed away long before I came out. but my mother, brother and step family...and my friends and coworkers have all been very supportive and accepting of who I am. I'm one of the lucky ones, I guess!

You tell us Rainfinger. I'm not gay, queer, a licker of any of that. Nobody is, it's all in they're mind. I've been a counselor and I know it straight out, it's a mind control thing.
