Whenever I go to the grocery store the deli counter attendant always ends up yelling at me ... I mean what is the big deal with licking the meat to see if it's fresh?

There is no problem as long you purchase it after you lick it.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh wrong on soooooo many points. The idea of licking someone's product is disgusting - unless you mean you lick it AFTER you buy it! Who knows what disease you may spread - or pick up - doing something like that. Check the freshness date, ask for a sample, or just don't go to the deli counter. If I was the attendant, I wouldn't yell at you, I'd call the police!

Well i am not shure you should lick but instead ask for a sample of it, that way he dosent think youre being impolite but you can tell if it is fresh.
