Every successful person has failed previously. The attribute that makes a person successful is learning from past mistakes. Try to accept a lost job or opportunity as a lesson learned. Jump right back into life. Be persistent. The only person you will hurt by getting down on yourself is you. For your next job, be courteous to your employer, co-workers and customers. Be enthusiastic, and work hard. Finally, trust in God. Using this formula, you will do well.

All cities have a job training or placement program that's free. Find something that you're able to do that won't make your pain any worse and that you'll enjoy. It's a "mind over matter" deal when it comes to making it work for you. Pain is always going to be a burden for you, but learn to live with it and do things to keep your mind off it. Chronic pain is suffered by millions everyday, so you're not alone and LOTS of people have successful jobs and happy lives even still. It's on you to move ahead or stay behind and watch life pass you by, right?

I had an accident, had my knee replaced and had nerve damage to my left arm.

I was working and making good money, but i had to go on disability.
Instead of sitting on disability, I went to college, I was 46 years old, took a three year business course in two years, got highest marks in class, got a position right away, now i am making better money than before.

I am in constant pain due to the artificial knee and the twinges in my arm but the pain helps me to focus on my job, i actually feel the pain gives me an edge because i do not complain about every little thing as the others do because i know what real pain is.

Maybe you need to go to a pain management center. But as for the job issue, if you are considered disabled, you may qualify for special accomodations under the Americans with Disablities Act.
