I have a spare to my vehicle however the key to my gas cap was on the keys he lost. Any ideas what I should do! Is there a way to remove the cap without a key? I am ok on gas right now but will need it in the next couple of days and don't know if I will find the keys by then, he is a sneaky 2 year old and I have checked everyplace I could think of.

Go to a mechanic... get them to remove the old gas cap and install one that doesn't have a key.
In my opinion... locking gas caps are a waste of time.

You can actually break out the lock with a hammer and a screwdriver. A drill would work faster, but you want to be careful of metal shavings falling out of the cap and into the tank.

Some good answer already. However, I felt that I would caution you against using a hammer or drill around the gas tank as was suggested by someone. You could cause sparks which could in turn cause a fire or explosion.

Take the number from the tag as you look into the windshield window from the outside.It's on the bottom by the dash board.Take it to your car dealer and they should be able to cut a key for you .Best of luck.

drill out the hole and replace the cap for 15 bucks
