I have an old remedies books here that says:Place aluminum foil in a glass or enamel dish.Cover it with a solution of washing soda and boiling water (1 tbls soda to 1 quart water).Electrolytic action between the silver and aluminum converts the tarnish back to pure silver.Don't use on a raised, dark oxydized design or 'French' finish. It will erase this sculptured effect.
