It's merely a term of endearment. Sugar Pie would be something ever so sweet.......so naturally someone that truly loves their sweetheart would call her their "sugar pie."

Sugar Pie is actually a pie. It is sould food, not just a term of endearment. It's a pie made with lots and lots of sugars...brown, white, karo syrup and molasses--kind of a pecan pie sans the pecan. It hurts your teeth to bite into it.

Next thing you will all tell me is that you do don't know what a Frito Pie is.
