Freebird. I think its a fantastic song, great lyrics, going from slow and sentimental to banging rock, its anthemic, moving and uplifting.
I sadly lost a friend to cancer a couple of years ago, and freebird was played as his coffin went behind the curtains, and everyone started singing along really loudly, it was so emotional, but so fantastic. A great way to say goodbye cos he was a freebird, always travelling along his own path.
I also have a huge soft spot for Sweet Home Alabama too. Reminds me of biking round Cornwall, being young and crazy and smoking strange substances under the stars.

Lynyrd Skynyrd ROCK!!!! I like all their songs but I think that Freebird is really beautiful (too bad it's about a one night stand!)

been listening to them from the start... they are the rare band that I can listen to every song ( both sides, in the old days ) on any album and truly enjoy each one. My good friend has the rare album cover with them in flames, which was recalled and replaced on the original bands last album together... All said, I think I will have to agree with esugrad, my favorite tune was the Ballad of Curtis Lowe... thanks for askin'.....
