A couple of ideas -
You can try craigslist.com (if your city has it) - a lot of people give away stuff for free and you might find some nice pictures/ mirrors or something snazzy for your room.

You can also make a collage/poster of your favourite movie stars/ models from old magazines.
Look for decorative stuff in your local flea market - you might be lucky. A bright area rug or small colorful bean bags may also liven your room.

Paint rules. If you like the pink and don't want to change it, go for stripes in varying shades of pink. or make the top half one shade and the bottom another. You could even paint a lighter or darker square (like a frame or bulletin board size) and use it as a "built-in" bulletin board for all your paper stuff that you have everywhere. Have you considered painting the ceiling? You could make the top 1/5 of the walls a part of the ceiling and paint it blue with white clouds for an "airy" feeling.

I urge you to rearrange your furniture around and keep every things off your floor. When you have every single stuff organize then you will not feel overwhelming with stuff and things.Make sure you take time to do it and pick a couple nice pictures on your wall instead of tons of paper. May be my suggestion can motivate you to start working and let me know how your room comes out.Thanks.

Hi!
Try re-arranging the furniture in your room around.
You could get a new throw rug and some new pillows for your bed.
You can change the lightbulbs to a new color. Instead of white bulbs, use red bulbs, or a purple bulbs, etc. Or get a black light.
Hope this helps... T.

You can find some great barely used peices at thift stores, the goodwill or yard sells. If you watch stuff like trading spaces it gives you some great ideas on how to redo stuff that you already have, the only thing that you may need is a glue gun and some fabric.

Instead of a birthday part next time have a room decorating party. You or your family pay for the paint and have each present that is gifted to you....be a certain theme and see what your friends gift to you...to help get you started

Hmm..Difficult question. Go to a cheap furniture the cheapest you can find near you and ask for the cheapest room furniture they have. Try to get something that is on sale. Thats the best I can say! Good Luck!

A nice mobile hanging from your ceiling (you can make one yourself), try painting just one or two of your walls a complimentary colour (to pink), or paint a mural on one wall.

changing your curtains can change a room. Also a new comforter maybe. You could also sponge paint which is inexpensive you just need two colors, a base coat and a sponge coat.

rearrange your room, sometimes just moving things around can give you a fresh outlook. You can always purchase one inexpensive item such as a pretty new lamp or a funky new item to match your style for your room.
