Maiden, mostly because without them, there may not have been a metallica.
you can find old metallica covers of maiden tunes out there, and they've openly spoken of their love of the group.
i love metallica, but didnt really dig their newer stuff. maidens newer stuff isnt their best material either, but its much better than new metallica in my opinion.
but, we're all entitled to our own opinions. this is one of those Q's with no right or wrong, just our individual preferences.
