I am allergic to peanuts and oranges! I developed the allergies as an adult. I get hives and other icky things when I consume them--not death. But I really missed peanut butter. So once a year I would make a pb sandwich and take my chances. But I don't need to do that any more. You know, you might have outgrown your allergy! Call an allergist and get tested. But DO NOT kill yourself over a red berry!

How old are you? Sometimes we out grow our food allergies and sometimes we don't. I was allergic to pomegranates as a teen, but as an adult I can eat them. I was allergic to peach fuzz but not the peach itself, now I can eat peach fuzz as long as it isn't really thick. HOWEVER, I still have serious reactions to walnuts. Maybe see an allergist and have yourself tested again to see if the allergy to the strawberry is still there. Anaphylactic shock can kill very quickly, be careful. If you are an adult and have outgrown some of your allergies already, you could try squeezing some strawberry juice on the under side of your arm and see if it swells or starts to itch. You could try a drop of juice on your tongue, but no more than a drop.

Not having any allergies.....I can't imagine what it would be like to have such a severe allergic reaction. Might I suggest before trying this, you might want to discuss it with your Doctor. Maybe he/she can suggest a better way to try strawberries.

It is so common to want something that you aren't aloud to have. I would say go to the ER and sit down in the waiting area and eat one see what happens at least you will be where you need to be. You also may have grown out of it as well.

It's natural to want what you can't have. It happens to everyone. Whether it be allergies, family, or food another home less bills, another climate.. The grass is always greener on the other side.. Everybody wishes for what they can't have. It's nature.
