I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard-
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind)-
I asked Him to send you treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And my friendship to share your way!
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small-
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all!

Everything takes time first of all, so you have to be patient. To talk about it is the healthiest way to get it out and get over it. Sometimes I cry to get my emotions out, I pray constantly, listening to music that relates to what I'm going through helps also. Mariah Carey in particular has had a song for every emotion I've ever had to deal with; happy, sad, dissapointed, confused, etc.

Do the things you like and enjoy. And if you are obsessing over something and you can't stop. do the following: allow yourself 10 minutes to obsess a day and please respect that. When your 10 minutes are over (OK, maybe 11 :P), ask yourself if it was productive and what did you lose while obsessing.
Be happy doing things that make you happy, read a book, listen to music, go for a walk, whatever makes you feel alive.
Good luck

Take responsibility for the role you played in the situation . And begin to move forward by surround yourself with positive energy and remove all negative things from around you ( drugs, family ,friends, environment)
Lastly, give yourself some time to heal.

That's a great start. Then, get involved in something that takes you outside of yourself. Too often, we wrap ourselves up in self-pity (oh, poor me!). Getting involved in a project, volunteering, raking a neighbors' leaves, all of these get us outside of our pity, and helping others. Sometimes, it's just encouraging someone else, who may be going through something worse than I am. I also try to remember that everything is temporary. Only death is permanent. So, live the best life you can live. And if you can do it today, do it today, for it's all we have right now. <*)))><

For me, I like to emerse myself in things that I love. For example, writing, music, drawing, acting. Anything that I am passionate about. Sometimes, you find answers, and healing in the most unlikely of places.

I think praying is very good and also surrounding myself with healthy relationships, people who help me build my emotional health back. Finding a balance: time for quiet-time for friends, time for prayer-time for reaching out.

Sometimes reaching out and giving to others really puts you back.

TIME! It takes time.... I told my daughter that went thru a terrible breakup, that as each day passes, it hurts a little less. After a few months, she looked back and told me how right I was! Time takes care of everything.

I meditate on love, and then within that feeling of love I allow the bad feeling/thought to come to the surface, and then I try to forgive myself and anyone else involved and take care of the feeling and the people involved as if they/we were all my children who'd caused themselves pain through ignorance.

It's easier to forgive/love children because of their ignorance.
