The Earth itself will end when the Sun expands into a red giant star and probably absorbs the inner planets, i.e. Mercury, Venus and Earth. That won't be for at least 5,000,000,000 years...so you need not worry about it. Life on Earth or much of it could end from many causes. A large comet hit the Earth and helped finish the dinosaurs and many other species. This has happened at least twice in Earth's 4,500,000,000+ years. Nuts have been predicting "The End" for centuries, and they have always been wrong and always will be wrong, because they are ignorant. Whether one uses Revelation, Nostradamus, Y2K, the Mayan calendar, Hindu cycles or other nonsense, predictions are wrong and the Earth will survive .

No one knows. But because of the current events in the middle east it will probably be soon. I'm not making any promises because in the bible it says the no man can Predict When the end is. As it says in the book of revelations "when the trumpets sound"
