Humanist I got violated for no reason on a question of yours and all I asked for was free pretzels and juice I think.
But that's the reason it's so hard to respect difference. You get violated everytime you say anything.
Intolerance= source of all our problems.

If the difference is religion you must respect the others religion. It may not be easy, but being an American I cannot understand religious intolerance. Here in America we have a religious freedom and its a "Given" your faith will be respected. Just don't try to convert me.

If you respect a person that doesn't respect you, what is the purpose? Respect is earned. It's not a right. I have no problem with groups of people, it's the individuals that gain or lose my respect.

It will take centuries, and will work only if everybody works at it... Our main problem is greed, and the thinking in tribal terms. The greed of the rich for more and more uses tribalism in all its forms as a tool to keep the poor at each other's throats so they don't realize what it's really about.

Of course it depends on the individual, personally as a proud liberal I thrive with cultural and relgious diversity, preferring to learn and not condemn. You pose an provocative question and I would have to agree with you on this one. Sadly the way humankind stands now, we are destined to destroy ourselves.

I think we will never see a world where everyone respects others.
The muslim extremists are taught that anyone not a muslim, must be taxed or killed.

Muslims don't tolerate difference. If you make a cartoon against them, they kill you. It's fact.
We hate this intolerance they have.
