I think a child should begin wearing thongs as soon as panty lines can be come an embarrassing issue. 14 is a good age as long as she isn't trying to be grown and wearing them outside her pants, in that case they should be banned. Make a rule that if it ever shows at the top of her pants she can't wear it anymore.

Keep in mind that thong underwear raises the potential for yeast and bladder infections.
That being said, I think she should be able to wear it when she feels she is ready for such attire. After all, who is going to see it?
It may just be a fad thing for her because she knows of some friends who wear it. Perhaps her regular panties show lines through her pants and makes her self-conscious. If you are reluctant to buy her thongs just yet, help her find some panties without the fancy edges that can sometimes show through her pants as lines or bumps.
If she wants to wear them out of curiosity, it couldn't hurt to let her try them. Some people try them and end up hating the feeling of flossing their butt and go back to briefs.
I don't think that there's a particular age that is right for a girl to wear a thong. I think it's all up to the individual. Just watch for signs of infections, which will tell you that thongs are not right for your daughter at any age.

Thongs are large by way of fact they do no longer coach panty strains via clothing. i'd say around junior extreme age. There are beautiful ones that are actually not sexy. My emotions would thoroughly substitute while my daughter is older, yet i actual do no longer see the wear and tear in it.

i dont know. it depends. because i dont want my teenage daugher wearing a thong to school and if she's wearing low-rise jeans and some guy sees her wearing a thong, he might get a lil too excited and that can cause some problems.
but it mostly depends on the maturity of the girl.

i would say around 12, but i will decide that when my daughter gets to that age, or earlier if she starts to get interested in her underwear choices. maybe the right time comes with the maturity and family values of the girl.....

i would say 13 or 14 unless shes a dancer ( like tap jazz ballet etc) becaue these do make it where you have no pannylines under coustumes so in that case hen younger than 13

Depends on maturity level and your values. However, please be sure to make sure she is aware of the fit etc.... Seriously, a friend of mine had a little sister that was wearing them too small and they created quite a medical issue for the poor girl.
