How do you override the parental password on a Playstation 2?

My boyfriend and I bought a used Playstation 2 for lazy days like today, but just found that it has a parental passcode on it. I'm twenty-eight years old! How do we override the code?

when it asks for your password, push [select]

supposedly, this brings you to a screen that asks if you would like to change the password. however, in order to do so, you need the system password, which is 7-4-4-4

after that, you are given the choice to reset the parental password. a password like 0-0-0-0 is probably best, so that all you'll have to do is mash down on the X button for a few seconds

First insert any dvd movie, go to setup and access the parental control settings(press select) When asked for your code enter "7444"; It will prompt you again to type in your password. Type "0000" and then scroll down to the movie rating options and choose "off".

Mine had this set on it too, i think of it comes with it default. The password become each and all of the comparable extensive type. i've got faith 8888 for me, my acquaintances become 0000 i think of. purely try each and all of the digits and see if one in all them paintings
