Ideally you are still supposed to drink eight full glasses of water a day when pregnant so that is 64ozs a day. Plus you need at least three glasses of milk a day and you should drink juice to help keep you regular... the further along in your pregnancy you are the worse constipation tends to be. However drinking a sip of water when you are pregnant can make you have to go pee at least three times. :) Most pregnancy books like what to expect when you are expecting say you can count and milk or juice that you drink towards that eight glasses. As long as a drink has no caffeine, alcohol, and is not carbonated it is considered OK to count that toward your eight glasses as well. Just keep in mind that plain water is one of the best ways to stay hydrated and fight off UTI which can be common when you are pregnant.

They say 8-10 8 ounce glasses a day which is basically what you should drink everyday anyway. Good luck with that. Drink what you can.

The normal amount you should drink every day will work. I found with my first pregnancy the higher my fluid intake (around 100 oz of water a day) the less I swelled. With my second pregnancy I didnt drink as much and had bad ankle swelling. Next visit to your Dr. just ask to see how much he recommends.

I would say 2 - 3 pints (40 - 60 fl oz). A good way to check is to look at your urine. It should be no darker than light straw in colour. If it is, you are not drinking enough water.
