I have no problem with rules..I have a problem when they are indisciminately applied. Who exactly do we complain to --since no one at y/a seems to ever reply to anything? I, for, one am really tired of the abuse that is on these sites and nobody pays any attention...and then someone asks a harmless question..like how is everyone tonight... and it' a violation...I even was on the language site and posed a question partially in mandarin for mandarin speakers..it was in violation...In the language site?????So what can we do??

I agree...and a lot of it makes no sense. it makes you wonder. I like to spend time talking to others...and have met some really interesting people here. I find it enjoyable and fun most of the time, but there seems to be an awful lot of people who like to spoil that, and don't get any violations for it...and we ask legitimate intelligent questions or post answers to legitimate questions..and get reported? keep reporting the violators seems to be all we can do.

The moronic abuse expressed chiefly towards gays on this LGBT forum is tiresome, and I think it unfortunate that steps to reduce it would probably be deleterious to all users. It is a pity though that there does seem to be some sort of censorship in operation. Is it the D.A.R. or Tipper Gore's crowd, or some other self-appointed protector of moral values? It seems to me that the censors have a bias towards the sort of moral hypocrisy prevalent in much of middle America. If that is so then we can only lament the fact that Yahoo Answers is merely a gathering round the pump of the global village ...

I have no idea what is going on at this site. IT would seem that as soon as others make any comment and get reported, the questions are removed immediately. Yet, here, the offenders just keep growing and growing. That is why I so rarely tune in to this part of the site anymore. Rudecat, xxon, and so many others have no life, so they try to develope one here. It is obvious to me that these ?people? are filled with hate because they are ignored everywhere else. Why do we, here, satisfy this ilk by responding at all to their question.? (which are not questions at all, just babbling of very unhappy people.) Thank God I have a life, and certainly a hell of a lot better (and richer) than theirs. Very sad people, indeed.

I have also been cited many times arbitrarily. While someone else is not cited for asking where they can buy drugs.
I think the person reading these questions and judging them probably has a very low reading comprehension level.

I agree.....I'm not really sure what we can do, exactly. Maybe we should all hop in a van and drive out to Sunnyvale, CA so we can meet them in a dark alley.....
