type in tune-up utilities .com and download it you can then do a complete scan and even adjust your settings so it will run to the best of its abilities this is free to try and you will quickly learn how to use it its simple but very effective you can even defrag your system with tune-up make your browser run faster optomise the speed for your internet etc try it im sure it will work i have it i paid i think twenty quid for it but i do know the trial is the same as the full program and lets you use all the facilitys let me know how you got on theres also a prog called error nuker which does pretty much the same i do prefer tune up tho

Go to my computer - accessories - system tools and defragment the hard drive. get something like ccleaner from download.com to clean crap of. Like spyware. That does cookies and temporary Internet files too. But otherwise go to tools in Internet explorer and the Internet options and delete cookies and temporary files. That should speed it up. Go to f-secure and run a online scan for viruses too.

Mike10613 nailed it, defragment the hard disk,clear cookies and temp files....scan your computer for viruses. If that doesnt help increase the paging file from control panel under systems icon and empty the java cache in the java console while still in control panel...if you're WinXP that is...
