Then she should report her attorney to the Bar Association, Grievance Committee and have specifics! Then, she should get another attorney IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT go in there without an attorney... she will get crucified and only have herself to blame! Please advise her against representing herself for her own good!

After several of my friends got screwed after they had spoken with me and did not listen. Those that paid attention and told the judge to please give them time ot get an attorney resulted better off! She CANNOT afford to go alone!

She needs to have a law degree. The amount of money she pays an attorney will be small compared to what she'll lose by trying to represent herself.

Odd as it may seem lawyers have special privilege that allow them to do stuff that an equally qualified none lawyer would not be able to do. Plus they have paralegals to research stuff that may help you, that you as a none lawyer probably don't even know exist.
So even if she is gonna represent herself she will still need a lawyer even if he/she is just a consultant on he Case.

she needs to know all of the laws, all of the legal evidence, all of the domestic laws.

how to properly address the judge, how to respond to various motions.

In other words, she does not have a prayer esp in a big case without an attorney

She needs to bring a lawyer, even if it is a different one. Never go to court without one.

She just needs to bring proof of all her arguments. If she is unable to pay due to an income decrease. She will need proof.

Basically it is possible to represent yourself you just have to be prepared.

If the judge doesn't file on her behalf just file an appeal.
