Dido,
I loved it. For myself, I straight women, I thought it was a beautiful love story.
What I liked about it is that the movies was done in such a tasteful manner , that you forgot it was two men, and I just saw it as a love story.
I thought the one sex scene was very tasteful.
The direction was so beautiful and the scenery was incredible.

It was an OK movie and it certainly was the kind of movie you could sit around discussing with friends as you enjoyed a good cup of coffee but I don't think I'll ever watch it again.
Don't get me wrong, the acting was first rate! And the scenery! Awesome! But it's just not the kind of movie that I'd want to see more than once... and I certainly wouldn't suggest a homophobe watch it! They'd be waaaaaaay too uncomfortable with it!

comparable intercourse love is as organic as heterosexual love. many justify their hate and intolerance on religious ideals, ideals that say we could continuously love rather all of us. yet traditionally, religions leads hate campaigns understand that the church excommunicated galaleo and christians burned witches. brokeback mountain is a tragic love tale the place we've a pair of celebrity crossed fanatics who attempt to stay in accordance with societal expectancies and locate themselves trapped in melancholy and self loathing for it. it is between the suitable video clips ever made and you will count quantity your self among the fortunate which you have seen it and realize it. do no longer supply up your ideals in the face of concern from the ethical majority. it is composed of small minded bigots who choose to impose their outrageous ideals upon us all.

Great film, and homophobes SHOULD watch it. Take em out of their comfort zone and let them learn something. But as to your Dad that is very personal decision and yours alone.

I watched it once, and thought it was a very beautiful movie. I don't think I'd watch it again, and I don't know anyone who would want to.

It's a good movie, but if your dad is a homophone I would recommend that he not watch it. I don't love the movie but it has a good message and a good love story.

The movie was OK, but I don't think it was all it was hyped up to be. I was highly disturbed by their first sex scene. The ending sucked too.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in my family. They're not very open minded.
