There was a programme called Ludwig - but I can't remember whether it was about an egg or not.

I have the video - they were 5 minute episodes, all with Beethoven's music playing in the background, with a egg with feet that was able to produce lots of bizarre items from within itself and could turn itself into lots of contraptions!

Very psychadelic!

No it was real. He was like a robot. The egg opened up and he did stuff. The opening tune was one of Beethovens symphonies.
