I'm not sure about Texas and Mexico, but in WV gay couples can live together and be married in another state and come back here to live, however, WV does not recognize same sex marriages so even if they are married in a state that does recognize these types of marriages, it's not recognized here there are no "spousal" benefits in the event something happens to the significant other. I live in WV.

At this time, there is no U.S. state or territory that allows for "marriage" of same-sex couples. There are "civil unions" in some states that offer some of the benefits of marriage (i.e. Vermont, Hawaii)
Mexico does not have gay marriage either. But, Netherlands does.

Mass is the only state at this time ( and there may be resident requriements)
Every state that has had it on the ballot has passed to ban it.
Mass only has it because a judge has ordered it and it has not made it to the ballot yet.
