There are no dog fleas. The common flea found on dogs, cats, rats, and people is known as the cat flea. Care must be taken when treating cats for them because some of the chemical preparations to treat dogs can be deadly to cats. Use something specifically formulated for your pet.

they are one in the same. if your dog or cat has fleas, i would recommend that you purchase a topical product from your vet made specifically for the pet. if it is a dog the topical products go by the weight of the dog. if it is a cat, it is made specifically for cats. never use a dog product on a cat
