I would stick at uni depending how much longer you have got to go. Uni will open doors for you, and it would be a shame to not finish it as, as you get older it becomes to expensive to go to uni and therefore you might not get a chance to finish.

You could defer for a year and see how it pans out. Can you not commute home at weekends?

It depends how secure the job will be, if its guranteed and if you lost it would you be able to go on to something else. When you graduate will your average wage be about £20k or will it be more?

Take some time to think about it.

*Get the best out of both worlds!*

I had the same dilemma when I was 19 (but not for so much money!) and I chose to take the job, stay with b/f, buy a house... and then I got my employer to sponser me to do a part-time degree course with the open university.

It was the best decision all round because I gained 6 years experience while I was getting my degree, I didn't get into debt, my employer respected me, I had a house I could afford before the prices increased, I made money and now I have a job I couldn't have had otherwise without both work experience and qualifications.

I'm not sure what sphere of work you are in but I would recommend this to anyone these days - be aware that everone can get into uni but not everyone can get a good job!

And LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

The first job u get can make or break ur career. Now a days grad degree is the minimum for a good career. Top 100 employers grad recruitment programme - all pay more than 20k so it's not such a great salary. Investment banks pay 35k +20% bonus.
Check what are the prospects are of the job.
It depends how strong ur love is? May be after 2 years u'll find that the love wasn't true. But if you lose track of ur career, after 2 years it'll very hard to bring it back to track. Go for career, u can find another girl

University is the best fun you will ever have - trust me. I really think you will regret it if you don't go. You have to work until you're 65, think about it, enjoy your freedom while you can. As for the girl you love, long distance relationships can last. My boyfriend is living in Spain until June next year and we are both very happy. Plus, there are so many holidays etc. when you are at uni, you will both be able to see eachother fairly often. Maybe I'm biased, and I don't know the ins and outs of your situation, but at university you will gain memories that you treasure forvever and make friends for life. Work can wait!

what a dilemma I would think that if you have been offered a job at 19 with that sort of money.. imagine what you COULD earn with qualifications? Someone said to you.. you will be working till 65.. listen.. go to uni.. enjoy your life while you are young. I think that you will do even better with the next job.. my daughter did.. twice that amount.. so relax.. be young..

the very best of luck to you in your life and career. Love.. well if your girl loves you she will wait till you have finished uni..

Bless!!

Finish your education. I know £20k is a lot of money, but unless your prospective employer is willing to let you finish uni, and get your degree, dont bother.

Your education is so important. Dont make the mistake of grabbing the first good soundign thing that comes along. The grass isnt always greener, and you may never have the opportunity to finish your education. Life throws all sorts of wierd crap at us, you may not be in a position in the future to go back to it.

Once you finish uni, you will have a degree behind you and some more life experience, and plenty of opportunity to start making money.

Your girl will wait for you if its meant to be.

Dont lose out on your education, there are thousands of people who cant afford uni, dont waste it, please.

Simple and straight foward question: DON'T drop out of Uni .. you'll probably never go back, and you'll definitely regret it.

You could try studying part time, or asking if you can work part time. With a degree, you'll still get jobs offering that amount of money and more.

... about the girl,.....er ..... let her go ... like they say, if its yours, it'll come back to you.

... than again, there re thousands of girls at Uni ....

Yep
World is full of graduates working as temps, doing office work for which you barely need a CSE grade 4 or unemployed
If the job is what you want to do then do it. There are more graduates than there were grammer school boys in my day, so Unless your course leads directly to a career ditch it and take the money,

No...Forget serious love affairs - this is this most important move you will make...and have you seen the new deal the Government is doing for Degree Students like yourself... rip that student loan and live a happy-go-lucky life for a while and get your degree.. £20k a year and a sniff of the snatch might sound good at the moment - but there is more rewarding offers awaiting you... believe me..
