I am doing t-accounts for my accounting class, when posting to t-accounts do you put in dollar signs or just type in the numbers. And do you use them every transaction or just the beginning and at the end?

i am an accountant, and when using t accounts there is really no need to use dollar signs. When you start to do financial statements you will use the dollar sign on the first and last line.

Im also taking accounting 1. My teacher never uses the $ sign. I don't think it really matters. Your teacher may require you to though.

i'm in accounting, and we never used the $ sign, but i think if you were supposed to it would be at the beginning because it would tell kind of money used in each transaction (as opposed to yen, euros, ect.)
