You can put them in the dryer, the problem is. They get to noisy inside because of the spinning inside that keeps them tumbling. But if you really want to dry your sneakers fast, try to put them at the back of your refrigerator. Because the heat of the back of the fridge can dry faster than dryer. You just to need to check and switch your sneakers where aren't dry yet.
I used to do that when I was schooling. It worked for me.

If you have an outside air conditioning unit, open the mouth of the shoes up as wide as possible and sit the shoes upside down on the unit. The fan will blow and dry the shoes in no time. My mom does this and it takes about an hour or so, and you don't have to worry about hearing them thump around in the dryer (plus, putting shoes in the dryer can warp the inner ring of your dryer system). If you have vents in the floor of your home, you can also dry the shoes on top of them.

I put mine in the microwave! Seriously, I do and it works. I get soaked in the rain and I put my sneakers in the microwave on a VERY low setting (like 20 power) and they're dry quickly. You can play around with the times and settings, but test carefully, you don't want the rubber to melt! Also, don't do this at all if there is any metal on your sneakers, like around the lace holes or embedded in the sole.

Put paper towels or newspaper in the inside so they can help absorb excess water while drying. Use dryer sheets when storing away to make them smell nice.

You put those things in your dryer that makes it so shoes can go in the dryer.
