my parents are getting me a cell phone and I need to know everthing about it. What to do, what not to do. How to make sure you don't go over minutes. The best kind. I'll chose the person with the most thorough info and give them 10 points.

First thing you should do is figure out who you will talk to the absolute most and get on the same network as them. That alone will help with not going over your minutes as most have free in network calling. I've used Qwest, Sprint and now have Verizon. I like Verizon the best because their service always works, no matter where I go. Most newer phones have ways of helping you manage your minutes so you don't go over...avoid THAT at all costs. Check into the txt plans and see if you can get an unlimited plan that will save you phone call time. I love being able to send a quick txt and not tie up my time with long conversations that I didn't really have the time for.

Take your time and pick what you really need.

if ur a talker go for t-mobile i get 3000 anytime min for 49.99 very hard to go over ur min, if u do its .35 a min, text messaging is .05 a text i get unlimited text for$5.99 a mo extra so my bill like 60 a mo customer service is great w/tmobile. make sure u specifically tell them u want the 3000 min (and remeber these are anytime min ) dont have to worry about what time it is to start calling people), for$49.99 b/c they dont advertise it anymore. you are also able to go online nd look at ur account and min used info, send text messages from there also. and depending on ur phone they re other perks and stuff but can differ phone to phone
