Hey my Catholic friends, you ever Hold out maybe just a little in the confessional ?

you know for something maybe bad but to inconsequential to bother your priest with .

I am not RC but I am curious to know how one decides what to include in a confession since one could go on for hours or else say 2 sentences and not get to the really important problems. Do you feel comfortable talking about everything?

I'm not a Catholic, so I know I'm not who you want to hear from. I don't believe in confessing to another human, but I do confess to God. I think that what goes on between me an God has no business with a human 'priest' They are sinners just as we are! (seriously) Why should we confess to them? They can't forgive our sins! Only God can! They need to worry about confessing to God their own sins! They can't do anything about ours! They are just human beings!

I am not catholic but I am a compulsive bean spiller. I doubt I could pass up the chance to tell a captive audience all my secrets.

I don't go any more, the last time the priest got rather scared and didn't talk to me for a month.

when I was young, I told him what I thought he would expect to hear, like fight with mom and dad and brother and sister.........I told him all the safe stuff, and every once and a while, I would squeeze a really bad one (in my opinion) just to make it look like I knew what I was doing and paying attention. Oh, I would never lie to him, that wasn't cool, he just never heard it all, even though he could never see me.
