Well...
Here's my opinion. I think music won't really change people's attitude because if they disagree with what the music is saying, they won't listen to it. I believe music allows people to get their feelings and thoughts about the world out in the most appropriate way possible. Screaming along to a rock song you only know half the words to is a whole lot better then screaming at a teacher or a boss, am I right? Their behavior change may be the way they dress and talk. Keyword: Maybe. It depends on the person.

Does Music Influence Behavior

How does it or just does it?
Well, when I'm sad or I want to be sad, I put on sad music. When I'm happy or I want to cheer up, I listen to happy music. It's the same with pretty much any emotion. It helps you express yourself, and helps you feel a hell of a lot better (or worse, but sometimes you have to cry your eyes out to feel better, lol).

I guess it depends on the person and the music. If the person likes and respects the musical artist then the music will affect them more. It's not like music completely changes someone's attitude or behavior, but it influences it greatly.

Music plays a huge role in self-expression self-discovery, I should know. ;o)

Music doesnt have a huge affect onthe way the person acts. Music helps bring out emotions that they may be feeling at the time, but even without the music they would still be feeling those emotions...although there are those few that think they have to act/dress a certain way becuase of the music they are currently listening to... the person choses how they act and how they dress. The music doesnt chose it for them.

I don't think music makes anyone act a certain way. Its the person that decides on how they are going to act. Everyone is responsible for their own actions not music. I think music gets the blame for an escape goat.

Yes. I should know. Music gets teens riled up or calmed down, depending on the song.

i think you have it backwards. i think that how a person feels affects what kind of music they listen to. i also dont think this subject applies to age. no matter how old or young a person is, they can react to music the same way.

i like almost every kind of music there is and listen to it all regularly. when i listen to rock music i dont feel mad at the world; when im mad at the world i listen to rock music. when i listen to sad ballads, i dont become sad; i listen to sad ballads when i am already sad. i dont fall in love when i listen to sappy love songs; i do listen to sappy love songs when i feel like im in love.
get it????

i think that it has to do with a lot of it it also depends on what you listen to like if you listen to rock you might yell a lot or something and if you listen to classical music you mught be really calm and relaxed and less likely to yell at anyone or your parents.

For example, the song "Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll" makes teens go out and have sex and use drugs. NOT.
