Ok I understand your pain. And let me tell you that I suffer of it too. Its called dysmenuria. And its the painful or extremely painful discomfort when you have your period. And the answer is quite simple. Go see a gynocologist and have them give you a PAP test and a pelvic exam. Their going to give you birth control. As you take the birth control you're going to see that your period will progress.
In a PAP or pelvic test expect to feel a bit ashamed.... it's normal. Also expect them to open you up and make you lay down. They make you spread your legs like if you were to give birth. Then expect sumthing cold, its a clamp to open you up to get a better look inside your uterus and so forth. while their in in, they take samples and send it out to get labs from it. You wont feel a thing. After that the clamp is taken out. And your asked to get dressed. It takes less then 15 minutes.
After that PAP or pelvic tests are to be done every year.
Hope this helps.
Sincere understanding,

Wow, I feel for you. I used to have to stay home from school I was so miserable. I would know when your last period was and what age you started your period. Those are questions usually asked. The pill will really help with heavy bleeding and not make you anemic which I bet you are from heaving bleeding. Otherwise relax and a good gynocologist will be considerate and help you relax during the exam. Which he should be informed it is your first exam. Mine likes to visit about anything!

It's not really that bad in there. The first time is a little uncomfortable and embarrassing, but you realize (eventually) that they do this ALL the time.
Maybe considering a supplement to aid with PMS to regulate hormones would be a good idea. Prairie Naturals has a product called PMS-femme that seems to help a lot of people. A reputable health store should be able to point you in the right direction for something to help. Good luck!

I would actually suggest asking your GP's advice. When I had the same problem, my GP put me on these tablets - I don't remember the name, but it was something acid. Begins with T. They're supposed to help reduce your periods and thus in theory reduce the pain. - However painkillers are also a joy. Paracetamol is always first choice, but if it's not working, I'd go with codeine. If that fails, then try the gyno.
Good Luck

OK. THE EXAM IS NOT THAT BAD. I'M NOT SAYING THAT IT'S PLEASANT, BUT IT'S NOT PAINFUL. FIRST OF ALL U HAVE TO RELAX AS MUCH AS U CAN. IT WILL BE EASIER. IF U THINK U WOULD FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH A WOMAN GYNECOLOGIST, GO TO A WOMAN. BUT FROM MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE I CAN TELL U THAT MEN ARE MUCH MORE CAREFUL AND GENTLE. THE DOCTOR WILL INSERT A DEVICE IN UR VAGINA TO OPEN IT A LITTLE. TELL HIM UR A FIRST TIMER AND HE'LL CHOOSE A SMALLER THING( I DON'T KNOW ITS NAME, SORRY). HE MAY ALSO INSERT ONE OR TWO FINGERS TO CHECK UR UTERO. IT'S NOT PAINFUL, DON'T WORRY. IF U ARE A VIRGIN, HE MAY NOT DO IT. OF COURSE, THE QUESTIONS INCLUDE: WHEN DID U HAVE UR FIRST PERIOD, HOW MANY DAYS IT USUALLY LASTS, HOW MAN DAYS BETWEEN TWO PERIODS, DO U HAVE SEXUAL PARTNER, HOW MUCH U WEIGH, ETC. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. JUST REMEMBER- RELAX, DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING AND BE HONEST WITH THE DOCTOR. SO IF U HAVE SECRETS FROM UR MOM, GO ALONE OR TAKE A FRIEND WITH U. ANYWAY,TELL THE DOCTOR IT'S UR FIRST EXAM.

It's not that bad.........you have to get undressed, then they put your legs in stirrups and this is when you need to relax so that they can scrape a little fluid off your cervix and that is what they use to test to make sure you don't have infection or cancer!!! I feel more comfortable with a female doctor but i have had men doctors and they are usually very gentle, especially when they know it is your very first pelvic exam!!! DON'T be scared!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
