This essay is for a Multicultural Psychology class. The entire question is "Discuss institutiuonal discrimination. Comparing people's race, ethnicity, immigrant status, and social class, what similarities and differences in institutional discrimination exist? Support your argument with research" So anything would help

I think you could include entrance exams for some civil service jobs. Somewhat of an IQ test. I think this favors Caucasian people (like myself). Because of the education system in white suburbs compared to the systems in the urban areas.
Immigrant status? Maybe you could go for the language barrier there.

I would first define Institutional racism, then talk about one specific instance, like African Americans being denied promotion based on race. Or kept in certain positions because of race. Texaco, Coke, search for work place discrimination or check the EEOC.
