To tell you the truth, I've always had problems with these styles...so formalistic, but I realize that there should be some requirements to be followed. When I have to write things like you say I either watch some example from Internet and use it or ask nice English language specialists with the whole stuff. As an example, I have some essays and one book review from http://www.superiorpapers.com and refer to them when necessary...But as for chicago style...well...it puzzles me...Shame on me...

You better get your hands on the Chicago Style handbook, and not trust the information you get from here.
