You shouldn't leave your child in the car no matter what. How old is your son? If he is a child, then you are really Fu*@ed up in the head. How could you leave your child alone in the car just to take money to some lover!!! You got some serious issues. Plus, shouldn't your lover be the one giving you money? That money you are spending on that lover of yours should go to your son. You sound like a typical white trash!! Learn how to put your child first, and stop being so desperate because desperate woman are the only ones that would do some sh!t like that.

You just answered the question: "Is race still a factor"? YES!! For you anway! IF you care, then you shouldn't make your white son feel any worse than you would make a BLACK son feel if your lover was White! Savvy? If you can't look out for YOUR SON'S BEST interest, then you're either too weak, or too concerned about your sex life or you're a doormat. Give your son up to Social Services or a relative if you even NEED to ask a dumbass question like this!!!! My god...
P.S. I agree w/those above who questioned your leaving your kid in the car FOR ANY REASON!!! Get real or give him up!
P.S.S. After reading some MORE posts: there were some good points: like - WHY are you giving this guy money ( black OR white???)..why are you putting him over your kid's safety? and WHY are you even asking this question?

Should u even be giving ur lover money. Apparently this happens often enough for u to create a question about it & it looks to me like this goes deeper. Quit giving ur money away! It does not matter what color anyone is, it could look like a rainbow coaliation for all I care but why are u giving away something that u may work so hard for? I'm going to assume ur a female so why doesn't the man in ur life take care of u? Why would ur child not need to see this lover of urs? This question needs more details.

Why are you stopping by your lovers apartment to drop off money? And with your son in the car?! You should do that on your own time. What color is the house and the car? That may just be too much color diversity for your son or yourself!

Racial assumptions aside why would you leave your child in the car to go do anything. If you are his lover the money you give him could...and probably has....not been the only reason you stopped by.
If you have done this no doubt there have been times you ended up in bed. How long has your poor child been alone then? If that did not happen it is still a very poor idea to leave a child alone anywhere.....in any location.
Shame on you if you have.

The question is are you using protection to prevent having a child out-of-wedlock? Otherwise, in a year or so you'll have two people in your car. If your lover is a man with no morals, he may not want another child. By the way, if your son is a child you shouldn't leave him in the car alone for any period of time or for any reason. Use your common sense woman!

Sounds to me like your lover has you jumping through hoops! Does he tell you how high to jump also? Stop giving money to any man. He needs to earn his own and never be a financial burden to any woman!!You are putting your child AFTER A MAN AND NEGLECTING HIM ON TOP OF IT by even thinking of leaving him in a car!!If a man requires this type of action from you then he is controling you and making you a doormat which is also teaching your son that is nothing and worthless.I can imagine that he also calls you and your son names and may be physically violent. If he isn't yet he will be because this is the route that men take when they must be in control.Leave him now and do right by your son and yourself!Best wishes!

Why are you even asking this question? Do you not have enough common sense nor self-respect to recognize that you are instilling racism in your son AND enabling your lover by giving him money? If he needs money, he needs to get off his lazy a$$ and get a job or come over to YOUR place.
Or do you not want your black lover seen in your white neighborhood?
Your actions set a very poor example for your son. Quite frankly, I am not impressed with you, either.

It doesn't matter what race your son is, or your lover... you should never leave a child in the car. If your boyfriend has a problem with him, ditch him... and why are you giving him money?? It's time to ditch the habits and be a mom. From the sound of it you're paying for sex.
