I am litterally obsessed with this show....I have seen most of the later seasons just watched all of season 5 and 6. and going to watch season 7 on tuesday. But now that i am just getting into the show I heard season 7 is that last season....is this true.???????

Season 7 is the last season because Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel's contract is only for 7 seasons. They were thinking about renewing the contract but Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel want to move on to bigger roles.

according to the ausiello report, this is reportedly the last season. Amy Pallendino had said that when she created the show, that it would only go for 7 seasons. I hope lorelai and Luke get their act straightened out. jeez

I haven't heard anything from thefutoncritic about it. Off from WB and onto CW, it's hard to say, depending on the ratings. Lauren Graham will be on Ellen on Tuesday. Maybe she'll say something about it.
