There are 3 main 5 a side leagues in the Newcastle area. you have Power soccer in Dunston, (often known as the pitz). They always want new teams. Or you can go to Westgate Road or Eldon leisure in the city centre. haven't played in any of these leagues for a while so can't help with the price but just give them a ring and find out.

Check out Place County and Auburn Parks and Recreation. There are also some bulletin boards (actual - the old fashioned type) along Taylor Road with various posts. I think near the hardware-feed store. Oh, and try the Newcastle hardware store also.
I have seen some sign-up flyer's at the grocery store around Loomis also. !

why don't you have a look at the local paper or phone the sports centres i think they will point you in the right direction good luck
