What an intelligent question.
Israel was always Jewish land..it was taken away from them many times, and now they have rightfully got it back.
There is no such place as Palestine.

All Israel does is defend heself..nothing more than any other country would do..

Hi Crispy The Jews lived in Israel more than 5000 years ago Jesus who was Jewish lived there more than 2000 years ago people move around . There are still a lot of Arabs living in Israel and they have seats in the Parliament. The Palestinians that left when when the state of Israel was formed chose to leave because their leader told them to go while the Arab armies would push the Jews into the sea and then they could return and take all the homes and kibbutzim that they had built and bought (they were happy when they sold them swamps and desert land until things began to grow then the greed set in).
Well they lost the battle and the borders where then closed. What shame on the Arab nations with all their money for keeping the Palestinians as refugees in camps for nearly 60 years because none of them wanted to help them. Yes they will keep starting wars and killing a hell of a lot of people in their name and in the name of Allah but charity for their own never.
Israel is about the same size as Wales. Most Arab and Israeli people just wish to get on with their lives peacefully Israel hasn't got Oil Wells it just pure hatred of the Jews by some of the clerics but if Israel disappeared tomorrow the problem will still be there as the other religions are also enemies as we are now seeing they want to dominate the World and will not tolerate us infidels

Isreal are occupying someone elses land, just like the British and the Americans occupying lands all over the world, "an intelligent person can see its everyone elses fault" does that mean only Jews are intelligent? Common sense would bring peace to the middle east, but when 3 sides think they are the rightful owners of the earth (God said this to each side apparently) then there can never be peace. The sooner 1 annialates the other 2 the better. And i personally don't give a s.h.i.t which ones does it.

Why are there always lingering questions over this. Depending on which historical recapitulations (history) books we read, it looks like Palestine existed before Israel. That is to say, that the Palestinians were there first. I've a real problem with this "Chosen People" "Promised Land" rhetoric. If there is a God, and He is all knowing, He would have known a long long time ago that the Palestinians and Israelis would eventually be fighting over LAND. And if indeed He is a loving and just GOD, why would he choose just ONE group of people as his so-called CHOSEN, and leave the rest by the wayside. If indeed he is a loving and just GOD. why would he choose just ONE group of people to inhabit a so-called "Promised Land" --He loves us all doesn't he?
He teaches that all are equal, Yes?\
Then why would HE play favorites?
Especially knowing that such favoritism would bring about such turmoil, conflict and misunderstanding

Israel was a Jewish state created after the second world war to be a home for the Jewish people.
Trouble was, people already lived there, they were called Arabs. Understandably annoyed that people of a different background and religion to them had moved into what they considered to be their homeland, they fought against it. Unable to prevail against a nation backed with Western military might, the area has simmered with tensions ever since.
I'm not saying suicide bombers are justified, but you have to understand how desperate these people are in order to do this.
A statement like 'Israel is blameless' is misguided at best.

Because israel should not exist because it is really palestine. it was created by the british when empire ruled the middle east. refugees left europe to escape hitler and ended up in their "promised land" when jews got there they took over, to analyse the reaction you have to analyse the action first taken.
Why can't jews accept the truth that i have writeen above , you know very well its not your land, and it pains you to know that you are in the wrong, hence the thumbs down. accept it, its THE TRUTH and we know it. So why are new bibles written with israelites instead of philistines? its so the new generations probably such as yourselves, don't ask questions and are not taught about the real history and i direct this to you , two answers below.
