when you write a paper in MLA format and you include pictures on the cover page, do you have to cite where you got them from?

no. You only cite quotations from the text, pictures do not need to be cited. Besides I don't think you are allowed to include pictures according to MLA. But I am not sure.

I'm fairly certain that you should cite everything. I would, definitely, to be on the safe side. You could search through this site if you want to be certain.
